Following the ill-mannered statements credited to the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari on the 29th of March 2016, that Biafra as a rested case is now dead and buried, and that those(especially IPOB) agitating for a Biafran State are living in mirage and/or hallucinating, adding that they have no understanding about the political history of Nigeria, Biafra writers promptly took to social media to debunk the statements, saying that it was rather Nigeria and the Presidential media aide that died and not Biafra.

We wonder why the Nigerian government would still detain and incarcerate Nnamdi Kanu and went further in killing unarmed Pro-Biafra protesters if they genuinely believed that Biafra is dead and now rested, if Garba Shehu claims to know much about history, he would have been privy to know that not just only one million Biafrans died like he said, in the Biafran genocidal war meted against them, but over 3.5 million people was brutally murdered during the war, as late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu fought for defense while the Nigerian government fought for complete annihilation of Biafrans.

Biafrans in conjunction with Biafra writers said that Shehu's position on the issue of Biafra, is just a reflection of a political jobber and slave servant which as a naive individual, made a value-laden comments that does not have any scientific trace or bearings, reminding him that Nigeria died on the 1st of January after the expiration of the British amalgamation of the Southern and Northern protectorates in January 1914 which was supposed to last for a Century.
They reiterated that Biafra as a nation is still very much alive and kicking, and that only Biafrans died in the war and not Biafra, adding that a people may die but a Nation cannot die.

They vowed that the blood of innocent Biafrans of whom included women, youths, men and children massacred by Nigeria during the pogrom and those recently murdered during the protests, will keep on hunting Nigeria until it sees her complete dismemberment and destruction, stating that what separates Nigeria is stronger than whatever that binds her.

On the issue Garba Shehu raised concerning the support of Nigeria for the independence of Palestinians and Western Sahara in which he was quoted that those comparing between the two agitating nations and Biafra lacks knowledge of international politics, Biafrans questioned what knowledge of international politics he was referring to, stating that apart from one been made up of Islamists and Biafrans been dominated by Christians, there is no much difference amongst the three agitating nations and that what is good for them is also good for the people of Biafra.

"It is the height of madness and hypocrisy for President Buhari to call and support the independence of the Palestinians and Arab Western Sahara, while at the same time, files treason charges against Nnamdi Kanu for calling for the liberation and independence of Biafra", an anonymous commentator said.
He further opined that Nnamdi Kanu; the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra cum Director of Radio Biafra/Biafra TV, is a living legend who succeeded where Nigerian political contractors and merchants of misery failed.

 According to him, looting Nigeria's treasury and overthrowing a legitimate government is more treasonable than operating Radio Biafra.
Stated he: "We are watching and still waiting for Nigeria to produce an empirical evidence of the charges of treason against Nnamdi Kanu. Based on the UN and AU Charters on right to self-determination of indigenous peoples, if Nnamdi Kanu is guilty, then the UN and AU charters are equally guilty".
"The outcome of this legal battle and judgment will go a long way in determining the slow or speedy disintegration of the Islamic Republic of Nigeria", he informed.

NIGERIAN ARMY MURDERS DETAINED BIAFRAN HOSTAGES

As centuries pass by, the western world would imagine we have become civilized; but the truth is that civility is an inexisting phenomenon in Nigeria, a country ravaged by savagery and barbarism. The saddest part is that our eagerness to protect humanity keep on diminishing as the world turns blind eye to the precarious situation being faced by Biafrans in this unholy matrimony with Nigeria.
 Where is it written that those in power can play God and take life without reason, trial or explanation?

The young men in the picture above were illegally arrested by the Nigerian army on their way from Owerri to Aba where they attended meeting. They were astonishingly dehumanized, and eventually killed on that fateful day. These killers in uniform went further to pour toxic chemical on the corpses so as to erase every trace of their horrible act.
Prior to their killing, these young Biafrans had their hands tied behind their back with Biafran flag, and few weeks after their arrest, several bodies with their hands tied in same position were discovered by a passer by.
This is a confirmation of the information that we have been receiving, that Nigerian army and other security agencies are secretly killing our people every blessed day.

This is to put the world on notice that both the young and old Indigenous People of Biafra, are being illegally arrested, dehumanized and killed on a daily basis. This may sound ficticious to some gullible minds but the fact and evidence is there for the world to see. The video of the Aba Massacre of the 19th Of February is a clear proof of Buhari's tyranny against Biafrans, using the Nigerian Army and other security apparatus as his executive assassins. Has anybody wondered why Muhammadu Buhari refused to watch his foot soldier's escapade involving the gruesome murder of Biafrans on Aljazeera Television?
His countenance and gesture is a clear testament that his mind is made up to continue killing Biafrans.

Our people are still being arrested in Abia, Rivers, Cross-Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Anambara, Enugu, Bayelsa, Delta, Ebonyi and Imo State and all over Nigeria for peacefully protesting the illegal detention of our leader Nnamdi Kanu and exhibiting our right to self-determination as stipulated by the UN, an agreement in which Nigeria happen to be a signatory to. Even while you read this article, Biafrans are being kidnapped, maimed and secret killing continues unabated, perpetrated by Hausa-Fulani killer squad of Muhammadu Buhari in form of Nigerian police, DSS and the army.

Once again, let it be on record that in our possession lies the undisputable evidence (Video recording), that a joint task force of the Nigerian police and army, surrounded some indigenous people of Biafra while they were praying to high heavens, calling upon the God they serve to grant our leader victory in court, as well as restore our inheritance which is the Sovereign state of Boafra. While they were busy praying, the trigger-happy assassins in uniform opened fire on them, shooting many dead and leaving many injured.

Some were bundled away half dead, including women. It will shock you to know that over 70 percent of Biafrans seen in the video are still at large, but we know their lives have been terminated just like the 22 bodies found burning as reported by Amnesty International. The others are languishing in prison and calling for justice to be done in their case. It is now evident that the systematic delay of their release by tyrant Muhammadu Buhari, is for them to be secretly eliminated one after the other.

We the indigenous people of Biafra are putting the world on notice of this barbaric and unabated inhumane activities meted out on Biafrans by the Nigerian government with impunity. It is high time the world understand that Biafrans won't let go of Biafra, just as much as Nigeria don't want to let go of Biafra. It is incumbent that they beckon on the modern Hitler of our time, in the person of Muhammadu Buhari, to free all Biafrans held hostage in Nigeria, including the chief prisoner of conscience (POC) Nnamdi Kanu. There is no need postponing the evil days ahead, for it is upon us already and we are ready for whatever the outcome will be. It is still Biafra or Death just incase you are unaware!

It is quite unfortunate and very disturbing, that the world powers feel numb and dumb over the atrocities committed against Biafrans in the contraption called Nigeria. 
It could be recalled that an audio tape which went viral on the internet between Kunle and one Alhaji from the North, stated it clear that the agenda of the APC-led government is to sweep out Biafrans businesses in both the north and the west. This they have started to carry out from the demolition of Oshodi market at Lagos in January 2016 , a market chiefly dominated by Biafrans without even issuing a notice to them. This is not the first time they are setting fire on Biafrans dominated markets, and yet they are clamoring for one Nigeria. 

It could be recalled that early this year 2016, they burnt down Sabon Gari market in Kano where billions of Naira worth of goods belonging to Biafrans were razed down. Now again, on 26 March 2016, they went back to complete what they started by burning down everything that was left of the market while chanting "Allahu Akbar" praising their god Allah saying more of Biafrans shops, churches will be burnt until Biafrans residing in kano left, northern youth, issuing threats to Biafrans in Sabon Gari . A northerner named Nural Lawal, went further saying "may god bless whoever set the market on fire, adding, let Biafrans leave Kano and go back to Biafra land. Yet they tell us this is 'one Nigeria'. This is just the beginning of the woes that will befall Biafrans for as long as they keep staying in the North". 

Isn't that obvious Biafrans are not welcomed in this 'one Nigeria'? Biafrans are often slaughtered at any slightest provocation including destroying their properties. Biafrans are been deported from Lagos, western Nigerians, to Biafra land, while the constitution of Nigeria stipulates that people are free to live and do business in any part of the country they pleased. How can you deport a citizen of the same country to his home state? 

Buhari vowed to kill Biafrans and he is using Nigerian soldiers to reduce us in number. what else can the aggrieved and marginalized Biafrans do rather than calling for her independence which is what we are agitating? Yet Buhari is still killing Biafrans and the world is watching with keen interest without separating the wolf's from the sheep's. 

Buhari found it easy to acknowledged and support the secession of Palestinians and West Sahara. Why is it cumbersome for him to acknowledge Biafra self-determination bid? Why is Buhari killing Biafra self-determination agitators? Why did he (Buhari) conspire with eastern governors to kill Nnamdi Kanu in prison whom he detained unjustly since October 2015 for his ideology?

It's only in Nigeria that, self-determination agitators are being killed and arrested. It's only in Nigeria that a president will disobey numerous court rulings even when the defendant is not found guilty, and is acquitted and discharged. It's only in Nigeria that a corrupt president is claiming to be fighting corruption. It's only in Nigeria that soldiers are killing civilians they meant to protect. It's only in Nigeria that an oil producing state, which actually came from Biafra land, are always suffering from fuel scarcity. ONLY IN NIGERIA!

It's only in Nigeria that teachers and doctors are being owed salaries for months. It's only in Nigeria that graduates are driving taxi cabs and commuter bike riders whilst illiterates such as Buhari are been made the head of state. It's only in Nigeria where citizens pay for public utilities they never used, such as electricity bills . ONLY IN NIGERIA!

In all these avalanches of problems in Nigeria, are they not enough reasons for Biafrans to secede? Nigeria must dismember and from its ashes arise the original owners of the land among whom are Biafrans. 
Biafrans are not wanted in Nigeria, we need our own nation which is Biafra. Give us a referendum now for no amount of killing or intimidation can stop the agitation for the sovereignty of Biafra.

In a lay man’s term, ‘’treason’’ means crime of wanting to overthrow a legitimately constituted government through VIOLENT, UNCONSTITUTIONAL means.

An individual is said to be ‘’Treasonable’’ when he has the character of a traitor and such a person is a ‘’felon’’ when he has been proven guilty of such a crime.

Owing to this, Section 37 (1b) of the Criminal Code Act states that
‘’Any person conspiring with any person either within or without Nigeria, to levy war against the State with the intent to cause such leving of war as would be treasonable if committed by a citizen of Nigeria, is guilty of treason and is liable to punishment of death’’.

More to this, Section 41 (d) of the Criminal Code Act also States that
‘’Any person who forms an intention to instigate any foreigner to make any armed invasion of Nigeria or any of the territories thereof and manifests such intention by an over act is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for life’’.

Mallam Buhari, the zoo-british-muslim activist, has grossly violated the above laws
(a) From the genocide and several other war crimes committed against the Biafarns 1967-1970.
(b) To successfully staging Nigeria’s 5th coup on 31st December 1983 which sacked the Shehu Shagari’s administration and led to the death of Brigader Ibrahim Bako.
(c) Then, the several treasonable utterances especially before and after being defeated in the 2011 presidential election.
(d) Since his 2015 fraudulent electoral victory, he has derived pleasure in detaining innocent citizens  (once perceived as a threat to his selfish political ambitions) without trail against the advice of several Human Rights Organisations.
(e) He went further to approve of the killings of peaceful protesters at Onitsha, Igwe Ocha, Bayelsa and the wicked Aba massacare to say the least.
With the above 5 charges, the same man has turned around to charge Prince Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra and the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) internationally recognized by the United Nations, of ‘’Treasonable Felony’’. The zoo court, though as incompetent as they may by be, could not still find a way to prove him guilty of such an offense since October 14 2015, he was kidnapped by the zoo DSS.

What is very obvious here, is that the zoo, though a signatory to the United Nations  that gave the Right to Self Determination, has failed to wake up to such responsibilities.

Prince Nnamdi Kanu has not in any way been violent in his approach to the restoration of Biafra. He also has been following the guidelines of Self Determination as stipulated by the United Nations Charter. 

In any country where Law and Order is upheld, ask yourself, who has committed ‘’Treasonable felony’’… Muhammadu Buhari or Nnamdi Kanu?

The president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari and his errand boys, the DSS, accused the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra TV Nnamdi Kanu of treasonable felony when in the actually it's Muhammadu Buhari who committed treason

In July 1966, Lieutenant Muhammadu Buhari was one of the participants in a coup, led by Lt-Col Murtala Muhammed, that overthrew and assassinated Nigeria's first military Head of State General Aguiyi Ironsi.

Nine years later, in 1975, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammadu Buhari was among a group of officers (led by Colonels Ibrahim Taiwo, Joseph Garba, Abdulahi Mohammed, Anthony Ochefu, Lieutenant Colonels Shehu Musa Yar'Adua, Ibrahim Babangida and Alfred Aduloju) who overthrew the Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon. Col. Buhari was appointed a military governor of the North Eastern State after the successful execution of the coup.

Yet again, Major-General Buhari led the military coup of December 31st, 1983 that overthrew the democratically elected government of President Shehu Shagari. At the time of the coup plot, Buhari was the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Third Armored Division of Jos. With the successful execution of the coup by General Buhari, Tunde Idiagbon was appointed Chief of General Staff (the de facto No. 2 in the administration). The coup ended Nigeria's short-lived Second Republic, a period of multi-party democracy started in 1979. According to The New York Times, the officers who took power argued that "a flawed democracy was worse than no democracy at all". Buhari justified the military's seizure of power by castigating the civilian government as hopelessly corrupt and promptly suspended Nigeria’s 1979 Constitution.

Muhammadu Buhari denied his role in the December 1983 coup; however, the example of Major Bamidele betrays Buhari's complicity in the December 1983 coup. Nigerian military historians Max Siollun and Nowa Omoigui note that when Major Bamidele got wind of the coup to oust Shagari, Bamidele reported the issue up the chain of command to his GOC 3rd Armored Division (Major General Buhari) who was allegedly in on the plot. To prevent Bamidele from leaking the plot, Buhari ordered the arrest and detention of Bamidele for two weeks. Bamidele was not released until the successful execution of the coup. 

Learning from this unfortunate experience, Bamidele did not report any rumours of the so-called Vatsa coup (between 1985 and 1986) and was executed for it. Bamidele's words to the Special Military Tribunal that tried and convicted him are:

"I heard of the 1983 coup planning, told my GOC General Buhari who detained me for two weeks in Lagos. Instead of a pat on the back, I received a stab. How then do you expect me to report this one? This trial marks the eclipse of my brilliant and unblemished career of 19 years. I fought in the civil war with the ability it pleased God to give me. It is unfortunate that I'm being convicted for something which I have had to stop on two occasions. This is not self-adulation but a sincere summary of the qualities inherent in me. It is an irony of fate that the president of the tribunal who in 1964 felt that I was good enough to take training in the UK is now saddled with the duty of showing me the exit from the force and the world." 

If a military officer who heard of a coup plot and failed to report it could be tried and executed, can any sane person tell me why the military officer who actually executed a coup should be walking free today as a President of same nation which government he once toppled?

It is clear to the world now that Muhammadu Buhari is a treasonable felon. It is also worth noting, that Muhammadu Buhari has not been tried for these crimes, rather, this tyrant has been allowed to go scot-free. This man should be in jail not in the seat of the presidency. He has nothing good to offer as a president. With Muhammadu Buhari as the president of Nigeria, Nigeria, as a country and, in fact, the likes of Obama of America and David Cameron of Britain have lent their support to the predicted demise of the great edifice of evil, Nigeria.

DOES TALKING ON A RADIO AMOUNT TO TREASON?




The activities of Nnamdi Kanu that has been interpreted as treason by Muhammadu Buhari are: Fighting for the freedom of the indigenous people of Biafra, uniting Biafrans all over the world, telling the world the truth about Nigeria and Biafra which has been hidden from the world by the British and Nigerian government for many years, using radio Biafra London as a medium. I must reiterate here that Nnamdi Kanu is a prisoner of conscience (POC) He is being illegally detained on the order of Muhammadu Buhari.

I will hereby call on the men and women of goodwill, governments of the world, US, UN, EU and the international communities to speak up for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and peaceful exit of Biafrans from Nigeria through a transparent referendum.

In Africa everything is retarded, illiteracy and injustice abound but all is taken for granted. The challenges Africa is facing today on the face of this planet earth is nothing but the reflection of their ignorance and wickedness.
To be frank, these inferiorities of Africans and their abhorrence against humanity is the major cause it was possible for the Europeans to conquer almost all their ideologies and esteems. In contrast, the Europeans prefer using their knowledge and potentials in helping and making lives more meaningful to their fellow Whites but here in Africa, there exists an intra-competition, hatred and oppression against each other. The evil the Whites hate, is the evil Black people harbour, no doubt every good in Africa is reversed.

Nigeria is the giant of Africa. When this statement is made the world misunderstands the context. What all these means is that of levels of Illiteracy, Injustice and Wickedness in Africa, Nigeria is the giant of them all. Expressing the terms Nigeria is the giant of illiteracy, the Europeans who brought English lexis to them defined the word "TREASON" as a crime of an attempt to or actually overthrowing one's country or supporting of another country to wage war against your own country. Based on the above definition, the president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari is guilty of the crime "treasonable felony" because he himself anchored the bloody overthrow of some past Head of States in Nigeria. Without any reasonable doubts, Buhari should be locked up to face the consequences of his actions but as everything in Nigeria is negatively reversed and upside down, he was picked to preside as a president of the same country.... the man who committed treason.  When will Nigerians wake up?

In terms of high rate of injustice, the United Nations Charter which is the law that guides human rights interpreted freedom of speech and expression as a privilege for self-determination. Self-determination is the freedom given to a people to make choices and to determine the form of government they want to have. In line with the above charter, Nnamdi Kanu the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra and the Director of Radio Biafra boldly came out echoing the voice of his people on Radio Biafra London, which is their choice to attain freedom from Nigeria and to attain Biafra as their nation and homeland. 
But as Nigeria is the giant of Injustice in Africa,  Nigeria government perilously apprehended Nnamdi Kanu accusing him of committing treason instead of Muhammadu Buhari whose treasonable felony is proven.

The fact that Justice John Tsoho vacated his earlier judgement not to allow masked witnesses to testify against Nnamdi Kanu in his treason charge, is a clear indication that Nigeria is indeed the giant of all injustices because it is an abnormal judicial scenario for a judge to vacate his own ruling without an appeal by the prosecution. Was he drunk when he made the ruling earlier? That shows how much he was bribed to even overturn the own ruling.

If Africa really need to experience light and progress in the world, this is the time for every individual and leaders in Africa to call evil by its name and stand against Buhari, the Hitler of Africa, the mass murderer and join hand to condemn the injustices being meted to Nnamdi Kanu and the extra-judicial killings of Biafra agitators and call for Biafra referendum.

Caught on camera: What Nigerian soldiers did to pro-Biafrans will disgust you

 – A photo has emerged of several pro-Biafrans being detained by Nigerian army soldiers

 – The young men had their hands tied behind their back and then they disappeared

 – A few weeks later, several bodies with their hands tied were recovered nearby

Nigerian army soldiers have been accused of murdering pro-Biafran activists in cold blood after they arrested them. According to a well placed source who spoke anonymously, several young Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) members were on their way from Oweritt to Aba to attend a meeting.

As you can see from the photo below, which was taken by a passing motorcyclist, the young men were detained by Nigerian army soldiers en route.

The bodies of several young men with their hands tied were recovered  several weeks afterwards

After they were detained, the IPOB activists were beaten bloody by the soldiers and had their hands tied behind their backs.

The young men were not heard from after that, however a few weeks the remains of several young men were dug up from beside the road near Aba.  The corpses of the young men were found with their hands tied behind their back.

IPOB has said it will present the photograph at the International Criminal Court in The Hague as further evidence of the crimes against humanity committed by the Nigerian security forces against Igbos and pro-Biafrans.

The pro-Biafra group has also called on the Nigerian federal government to stop its persecution of Igbos and young people in the south and southeast of Nigeria.

It is quite unfortunate the degrading situation in which Nigeria finds herself today, because of the belligerent and lacklustre attitude of a man who rules her as his personal empire, subduing various supposed independent and democratic institutions under his whims and caprices. Nigerians must have realized their mistake in electing President Muhammadu Buhari and opening the political space to an alternative whose curative touch to national afflictions have proven more deadly than a disease; a terminal kiss from a moribund regime.

It is most shameful and utterly disgusting that President Buhari and his government cannot distinguish in clear terms, the difference between self-determination and treason. Perhaps, a better explanation of 'treason' they would understand easily is the scenario that happened on the 31st of December 1983 when the same President Buhari who slammed Nnamdi Kanu with charges bordering on treason, committed the worst case of treason by his bloody and ruthless toppling of a democratically elected government of President and Vice President Shehu Shagari and Alex Ekwueme respectively. And with this ushered in a reign of terror and inhumanity against humans.

Buhari kept Shagari under a cozy house detention in Ikoyi Lagos while his hapless deputy, Ekwueme was locked up in Kiri-kiri prison. Such was Buhari's notion of equitable apportionment of guilt and/or responsibility.
Just like he is presently engaging with Kanu and others, Buhari also leveled a lot of spurious and outrageous charges to his perceived enemies, rivals, critics as well as other innocent Nigerians.
Prominent against these charges was an act that amounted to nothing less than judicial murder, execution of citizens under retroactive decrees, placing Nigerians on notice that they were now under an iron, inflexible rule and governance by fear. He had later then declare after he left office that he had no regrets over these murders and would do so again if given the chance.

Comparing those days in his military and now, not contented with hammering down the freedom of expression in general terms, Buhari specifically forbade all public discussion of a return to civilian, democratic rule, making sure that overt agitation for democracy remained rigorously suppressed. There was this abhorrent and repugnant repression of dissenting voices and an era of horsewhip justice which we still see today.

To deprive a people of volition in their own rights to self-determination and political direction is to turn a nation into a colony of slaves. Buhari enslaved the nation which is far worst than committing treason. He gloated and gloried in the master-slave relation to the millions of its inhabitants.
It is astonishing and highly hypocritical to still find out the same former military dictator, now a modern era democratic dictator would slam someone exercising his rights of freedom of speech and expression with treason charges.

Recall that during his days as Nigeria's military Head of State, the conduct of Buhari's regime which is still very much active now, was not merely one of double, triple, multiple standards but a cynical perversion and travesty of justice. Flagrant disobedience of court orders we should know by now, is one of Buhari's idiosyncrasies. We see a return to his military dictatorial rule. Quite similar to Kanu's ordeal as regards with obeying court judgements, was the "judicial" process undergone by the septuagenarian Chief Adekunle Ajasin who was arraigned and tried before Buhari's punitive military tribunal but was acquitted.

Dissatisfied, Buhari ordered for his re-trial. Again, the Tribunal could not find this man guilty of a single crime, so once again he was returned for trial, only to be acquitted of all charges of corruption or abuse of office. Was Chief Ajasin thereby released? No! He was ordered detained indefinitely, simply for the crime of winning an election. Buhari is a certified felon, who did not only overthrew a democratically elected government but also committed genocidal and war crimes against humanity.

If airing your entitled views and opinions over the radio, which are truth anyway, can be translated to mean committing treason, then what place would the above scenario occupy in the list of crimes against humanity? If talking over the radio and exercising your right to freedom of speech and expression can be interpreted as treason then all other radio stations presenters could as well be slammed with the same charges of treason for talking.

I still remember vividly during the build-up to the 2011 Presidential election, Buhari made a couple of unguarded and unsavoury statements which stoked violence and which made the country utterly ungovernable. Statements like "the baboons and monkeys will be soaked in blood" if he loses the election. This saw many innocent citizens including Youth Corp members serving the country murdered by Buhari's foot soldiers and overzealous loyalists who unleashed terror and mayhem following Buhari's body language.

 Buhari was first to make comments threatening the unity of Nigeria and then turn around when arguments heat up to claim that he was misquoted. He completely and single-handedly debased and polarized the North that they are probably going to tear the country up if he is not installed as President. Tell me what better definition of a treason offence can a man commit against an independent State other than this?

There was a spiked level of religious intolerance which he crystallized by his uninformed decision to enroll Nigeria in the Organization of Islamic States in a blatant disregard for other religious persuasions in the country. A man who virtually did nothing for Nigeria but created a perpetual terror believing that the continuation of that terror is the only way to see Nigeria progress. What a joke!.

That Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court Abuja, could compromise and sway to Buhari's dictates in Kanu's trial in subverting and obstructing justice, reveals the height of the rot in Nigeria's judicial system and the executive's encroachment of the independence of democratic institutions in Nigeria. In conclusion, the world must understand the need to compare both scenarios and tell us who the guilty felon is between Nnamdi Kanu and Muhammadu Buhari, the radical ex coup plotter.

Five months on, the Nigerian government still have been unable to provide proofs to substantiate the concocted allegations, failure in providing legal requirements of witnesses to testify against Nnamdi Kanu. Making matter worst is the censorship of the Nigerian judiciary by inducing the presiding judge in the person of John Tsoho of the federal high court Maitama, Abuja in altering and misinterpreting laws to favour their inconsistencies, lies and deceits. As all these ill-conceived plans are improbable, they have resorted and conspired to finally silence i.e to summarily kill Nnamdi Kanu. Is this not a big shame to Nigeria?

It is pertinent to note that the outcome of any eventuality on Nnamdi Kanu's life or health will definitely be met with defiance as never witnessed before in Nigeria. May I remind Nigeria that Nnamdi Kanu himself told them that "...he will rather remain in detention than to subject himself to their erroneous trial which the outcome will never be respected".
The conspired plot to assassinate Nnamdi Kanu which took place on Saturday 26th March 2016 at Abuja in a secret organized by Muhammadu Buhari had Messrs: Lawal Musa Daura, Governor Willie Obiano, Governor Rochas Okorocha, Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu and Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in attendance concluded on a false flagged hijack attempt on the vehicle that will convey Nnamdi Kanu to court.

 They concluded to contract some assassins that will camouflage as IPOB members and stage the false flagged hijack. In the process, the operatives of Department of State Services (DSS) will kill Nnamdi Kanu and then claim that he died in a crossfire during the purported hijack. The second option is to kill Nnamdi Kanu by poisoning his food. The same treatment that was meted on late M.K.O. Abiola.
But then again, the Nigerian government under the auspicious leadership of the ex coup plotter, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari must understand that the death of Nnamdi Kanu, either intentional or otherwise will be the end of the british creation called Nigeria.

History is gradually repeating itself again in Nigeria. It is thus high time the world understood that the Biafrans are not ready to take things for granted again. Prior to May 1967, Biafrans were pursued and hounded in all their habitats, streets, churces, workplaces and markets in Nigeria. These systematically orchestrated massacres of Biafrans led to a defensive genocidal war by Biafrans against a well-supported Nigerian military majorly backed and supported by the British government and her allies.

This genocidal war resulted in the destruction, displacement and death of more than five million (5million) innocent and defenseless children, women and men of Biafran extraction. The Red Cross and other relief agencies were prohibited from flying into Biafra to supply the much-needed supplies. All these that happened between 1967-1970 were a result of execution of all Biafrans in most cities in Nigeria. The same history is gradually ushering itself in again. There is a red alert on Nnamdi Kanu's life. It is therefore the reason why we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is using this medium to reach out to the entirety of humanity to understand what is going on withing and with Biafraland and her people.

The inability of the Nigerian government in proving  him wrong in the court and the squeezed plot to assassinate Nnamdi Kanu who in all legitimacy anchors the call for the restoration of Biafra will definitely erupt to another war which no one will escape from. The Nigerian Government with these Eastern Governors will not take anything as an excuse this time around as the infuriation is getting high. Recently, governor Willie Obiano killed more that 25 peaceful protesters at Onitsha, Victor Okezie Ikpeazu massacred a great number of Biafrans while praying and fasting in Aba, Abia state and Rochas Okorocha killed many Biafran in Imo state as well. As all these killings are ongoing, the (IPOB) had remained law-abiding and peaceful till date but we will surely respond to any eventuality against Nnamdi Kanu.

The word Treason the world over has only one meaning. Not two, not three, just one meaning. According to section 37(1) of the criminal code Act,"treason" occurs when someone actually wages a war, or conspires with any person to wage war against the country "in order to intimidate or overawe the President or the Governor of a state" When one wages war to overtake a government, he has committed treason.

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra and the Director of Radio Biafra London was arrested in Lagos, October 2015 and was charged with treason after he won the two previous charges preferred against him. It is highly disheartening that the Federal Government of Nigeria could only discover that Nnamdi Kanu committed Treason after he was discharged and acquitted of two previous charges. Could it be that the Federal government DSS forgot what constitutes Treason as at the time of charging him to court or that the law on treason was inexistent as at the time Kanu was being prosecuted for “belonging to an unlawful society” and later of “Terrorism”, the two charges for which he was discharged and acquitted?

In line with what constitutes Treasonable Felony, we want to compare and contrast General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. On December 31st, 1983, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) overthrew the democratically elected government of Shehu Shagari in a bloodless coup de tat and removed the elected President of the Federal republic of Nigeria and took over that government. Muhammadu Buhari took his men on arm attacked a sitting government and sacked the democratically elected government, arrested the President and his Vice. This act amounts to treason or Treasonable Felony.

But until date Muhammadu Buhari has not been charged with treason nor has he been given any form of pardon for this heinous crime against the Nigerian State. Nnamdi Kanu, joined by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, through Radio Biafra London has been calling for the Self-Determination of the people of the South-Eastern states, the (so called) South-south states, Niger Delta and parts of Idoma and Igala of the lower Benue for the nation of Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu never sought to take over Nigeria’s government by overthrowing the elected president. He sought for the independence of his people through a laid down international law of the United Nations.  At no time did he make moves to topple Nigeria Government.  It is, therefore, unbelievable that this Treasonable Felon General Muhammadu Buhari  (retd) is presently prosecuting Mr. Nnamdi Kanu for Treason which he never committed. That is why we call on the international community to check between Muhammadu Buhari and Nnamdi Kanu who is a Treasonable Felon.

Muhammadu Buhari should not have qualified to run for the presidency of any country, not because academically he is a write-off, but the fact that he is a criminal that should be in jail. But NO, rather he is now sitting and charging an innocent man for treason, which he Buhari committed.
We, the Indigenous People of  Biafra are therefore highly disappointed that the whole world and the United Nations are all mute blind and deaf of this anomaly until the madman in Aso Rock sends an innocent man to jail for the crime he is innocent of. If anyone is to be prosecuted for treason, that person should be Muhammadu Buhari

Nnamdi Kanu has been recognised as the worldwide leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by Biafrans and a radio Biafra broadcaster even before Muhammadu Buhari started campaigning to becoming the president of Nigeria. Radio Biafra London is a radio station properly registered in the United Kingdom by the British authorities. Its registration by the British authority as a legal media outfit discards the piracy allegation the Nigerian government and her media have been frivolously bandying. This then concludes that the gospel of Biafra's restoration which Nnamdi Kanu propagates is legal and not piracy.

The phrase "treasonable felony" is uniquely Nigerian. A quick check in the Corpus of Global Web-Based English confirmed this. Meanwhile, ''The Corpus of Global Web-Based English (GloWbE) is composed of 1.9 billion words from 1.8 million web pages in 20 different English-speaking countries.'' Of the 52 matches that appear in the corpus, 43 showed up in  the Nigerian version of English and 9 in Ghanian English. there was no record of the expression in all other English varieties the Corpus indexes. The dictionary meaning of treason is a crime of wanting to topple a legitimately constituted government through violence. Felony, on the other hand, means serious crime, such as murder, arson, rape etc.

Section 37(1) of Nigeria's criminal code act, stipulated that treason occurs when someone levies war against the country. On the 14th of October 2015, Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the (IPOB) was kidnapped extrajudicially by the agents of Buhari. During his ordeal in the gulag of this murderous department of state services (DSS), all sorts of unprintable inhumane treatments e.g life-threatening torture, deprivation of medical attention, food and communication either with families, friends and legal representatives, blackmail and assassination attempt were meted on him. One of the charges levied against him by Buhari was the usual Nigerian phrase ''treasonable felony.''

From all records available in Nigeria and elsewhere, Nnamdi Kanu has never toppled any military or democratic government neither has he any intention of toppling one. He is not a card-carrying member of any political party and has never contested for any electable position in Nigeria. He never called for Buhari to be overthrown for him to become the president of Nigeria. Nnamdi Kanu has never killed anyone before nor has he ordered the killing of innocent people. He never ordered the shooting of peaceful protesters, praying citizens and neither has he ever ordered the killing of innocent people in Akwa Ibom with Napalm bomb. Buhari and his advisers have been trying to play a reverse psychology on Biafrans and the world at large. Boko Haram has been waging war and threatening to topple the democratic government of Nigeria and establish Sharia instead. Buhari who is a staunch sympathizer of the said terror organization once said that ''....any attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north.''

Buhari toppled the democratic government of Shagari in 1983, Buhari ordered the use of Napalm bomb immediately he resumed office in May 2015 on innocent civilians in Akwa Ibom, Biafra land, he handpicked the inconsistent judge John Tsoho handling Nnamdi Kanu's case to impede justice and Buhari has promised to continue the killings and destruction of innocent Biafrans and their source of livelihood wherever they reside. Arson in Sabongeri, Agatu massacre, Akwa Ibom bombing, Ogoni massacre, Onitsha massacre and many other covert killings of Biafrans are testaments to his nefarious promises. It begs to question, who then should be convicted of treason; innocent Nnamdi Kanu or guilty Muhammadu Buhari?

Nnamdi Kanu Accused Of Treason By Muhammadu Buhari

According to article 7 of the United Nations declaration of human rights,   ''all are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.'' Going by this declaration which Nigeria is a signatory to, why then is Nnamdi Kanu the recipient of the penalty of crimes committed by Buhari? If Buhari is above the law in Nigeria, surely he is not in the Hague. Radovan Karadzic is a reference. Meanwhile, the Nigerian constitution provides that the testimonies of at least two witnesses in a treason case is required for a conviction. May I be clear here that there are millions of people ready to testify to the treason charge against Buhari.

Why has Buhari been meddling in the judicial procedures in the allegations against Nnamdi Kanu? Why is he not allowing the judiciary discharge all cases brought before it effectively and efficiently without the interference of all sorts? Buhari has been hypocritical with the benefit of his antecedents which is why abhorrence to criticism is his specialty. The totem of discipline and exemplary leadership should be mounted to propagate a good example of leadership. In Buhari's case, this is found wanting. Therefore, we beckon people of goodwill around the world to never forget nor overlook series of crimes against humanity (Biafrans) which Buhari has committed. Making your voices heard will speak volume as we yearn for the unconditional release of innocent Nnamdi Kanu and send Buhari to where his fellow murderer Radovan Karadzic is. Restoration of Biafra is our goal and regardless of all we encounter, we shall see her restored.

Just as the light outshines darkness and truth unbending, so will history always resurface. Be it days, weeks, months or years, the buried truth must surely resuscitate. They may kill our prophets, erase and remove all evidence, the prophecy must surely be fulfilled. This is the case of Biafra. Though her rich history was never spoken of nor taught in schools, neither was the agony she suffered during the Biafran war  acknowledged. Yet, she has again announced her return.

The return of Biafra has sparked the wildfire of realizations, sense of belonging and call to patriotism across her shores. Just like the lost sheep, the Biafrans have recognized their shepherd's voice and are harkening to the clarion call. The Nigerian government tried to ban the movie (HALF A YELLOW OF THE SUN) that portray these rich histories of a people; the Biafrans. Even though they succeeded in editing the scenes where the wanton massacre of Biafran was carried out by the bloodthirsty Nigerians and Hausa/Fulanis in Nigeria's cinema, Biafrans ensured that the unedited version of the movie will be played in places where civility is of the essence. Just as the tides of the ocean keep rising, so is Biafra.

In this movement for FREEDOM, a new dimension is declared. Over the seas, to the lands and oceans, her echo resounds nonstop. Why is Muhammad Buhari adamant? What can be the reason for his obstinacy and defiance? Buhari committed a treasonable felony when he overthrew Shehu Shagari in December 1983. Yet, he remains unpunished and he is pointing accusing fingers at Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has never pulled any trigger nor toppled any government of treasonable felony. Buhari cowardly commanded Nnamdi Kanu's imprisonment because he is afraid of accepting his failure as a president and the fact that Biafra is a certainty through the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu.

The clock is ticking and time is slowly closing in on Buhari.
Biafrans are special species that cannot be extinguished. These are people who possess an undying will power and their survival instinct is above 100%. Nnamdi Kanu is not supposed to be locked up for demanding the right of his people. Complete and absolute disaster awaits an unpopular government that frames up her people with lies. Such government deserves no worth nor recommendations of any sorts.

The unfortunately merged contraption (Nigeria) is in a sour state and the government has no scruples about killing her citizens. Just like vampires, they poise and suck out life off harmless, unarmed, untrained and suffering masses. They oppress and suppress any iota of opposition by any possible means with the intent to annihilate truth but truth can never be hidden, like night and day, it cannot be stopped.

It is factual that Buhari is the guilty sheriff, not Nnamdi Kanu. He (Buhari) toppled a democratic government, Nnamdi Kanu did not and will never. The urge to kill is unstrange to Buhari. He has murdered and killed before and immediately he resumed office, the Biafrans were the recipient of his killing spree in Akwa Ibom. He ordered the use of Napalm bomb on innocent Biafrans. He has shown that he is ready to kill at will.

The numerous death of peaceful protesters that were demanding the release of the worldwide leader of IPOB; Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was a testament to how bloodthirsty Buhari is. Recently, in an interview with Martine Dennis, of Al Jazeera. Buhari refused to watch a video in which peaceful praying Biafrans were randomly shot dead.

Nnamdi Kanu keeps upholding the truth of Biafra even in sufferance by  reaffirming hope in the lives of his subjugated people. Meanwhile,  Buhari has become the kingpin of corruption by encircling himself with worldwide wanted and known corrupt individuals. He oversees the padding of budgets and all sorts of inhumane and uncivil behaviors expected of an acclaimed leader.

 Distortion of judicial procedures in the unjust trial of Nnamdi Kanu has shown the whole world that just as a leopard cannot change its spots, so will Buhari never change in persecuting those saying the truth. But this truth regardless of how it has been deprived must be told and must prevail. Our progenitors were truthful and said the truth always even when it led to their death and so shall we uphold same truth and our posterities shall do same. Bear this in mind that history will always vindicate the just.

When will you learn? Allah Akbar rang so loudly drowning the cries of helpless traders who stood hopelessly watching their livelihoods burn into ashes. This is the sad story of Sabongari market, in Kano state, Nigeria. The video has gone viral on social media and now is action time for the plotters.

After the electioneering periods last year, I argued with a woman who boldly announced that they were going to chase away Biafrans from Lagos state for not voting APC. She highlighted plans to destroy Ladipo and many other markets where Biafrans do their trades and they will be converted to parks and schools. She said of Biafrans that ''we were comfortable in their land yet had refused to vote for them.''
Does it require a soothsayer or a prophet to explain that this is a well-orchestrated plan that is being systematically carried out?

Sincerely, since January 2016, Biafrans have been hit harder than envisaged nor imagined. Biafrans businesses in Oshodi was pulled down by the order of Ambode the governor. This order ushers in an avenue for Lagos hoodlums to having a field day at looting commodities and goods worth billions of Naira. None of the business owners were allowed to take the least of their commodities out of their various shops as their shops were sealed without forewarning and the usual phrase was ''order from above.''

Biafrans, when will you learn? What stops you from going and developing your businesses in Biafra land? When will you stop taking your wares and wealth to your enemies at the same time developing their lands? We have all it takes to establish a nation so why suffer constant humiliations from other people? Recently, Ladipo market came under siege as many Biafrans cried their hearts out. Their arrival on that fateful morning to the market was the worst morning they will never forget as they met empty spaces on a once filled motor parts shops. Ambode was at it again! They have vowed to cripple our commercial status and take over our businesses and gradually, systematically and sporadically they are making progress.

Hey Biafrans, learn your lesson. Go home and build your lands!
You can reside anywhere you want but secure your wealth and children's future. "Adighi eji akpata etufu aba ogaranya." "Wealth does not come through wastage. "They shouted at the top of their voices: "Allah Akbar!" "May Allah be praised!" This vicious show of hatred summarizes all the events unfolding and reaffirms the ''Alhaji and Kunle affiliation.'' Frankly, it is high time we put differences aside and reason together. God created us and put us in different locations with diverse attributes, qualities and resources. He even made boundaries and commanded that landmarks must not be removed.

A piece from me to most of you in these categories; for those who claim to belong to lands far away from their places of birth or origin and refuse to belong to their clan which is a stone throw, you need to rethink. Those who deny their mother tongue for the sake of monetary favours and political positions need thorough brain overhaul.
For those who are lost in other lands with no intentions of coming back to their homeland, their brainwashed senses need redeeming revival.

Conclusively, now is the time to return and build the land from where the sun rises; Biafra. We are the recipient of the sun's radiance before others, which is a pointer to how blessed we are as a people.The wise men were from the east and as a nation are we very thrifty. Need I explain further that the Biafrans survived and surpassed expectations of failure with mere post civil-war 20 pounds from the murderous Nigerian government regardless of how much a Biafran had in his/her bank account before the war? We have excelled and overcame all sorts of trials and the last one will be the restoration of our dear homeland; Biafra. Time to leave and restore Biafra is now. With the exodus from these foreign lands, you will make them stop the chants; ''Allah Akbar!''

Biafrans are always adored and welcomed in all parts of the world because of these attractive and hereditary talents but NOT in Nigeria. It is disappointing that instead of appreciating the versatility of Biafrans which God has endowed them with, Nigerians choose to be hostile and oppressive towards them. Because of the dexterities of Biafrans, other tribes are practically unleashing acts of terror, greed and hatred on them. People may be wondering why Biafrans say they are marginalized, but a closer look at events happening to them in the Nigeria state says it all.

Since Muhammadu Buhari was rigged into power these acts of hatreds have intensified. His first action was to stop Biafrans from importing goods and services required for their various trades and cottage industries. Not relenting, Buhari have also conspired with the Governors of the north and west to destroy and demolish the big markets and shops chiefly control by Biafrans in the guise of development.  For instance; the demolition of Ladipo Spare parts Market in Mushin Lagos and the demolition of Oshodi market is a living testimony to this. The Burning of Balogun Market in Lagos Island as well as the razing of Tejuoso Market at Yaba Lagos lend credence to the fact that Biafrans are hated and marginalized, because, 90% of all these Markets being torched or demolished are predominantly occupied by the Biafrans.

Just yesterday, 27th March, 2016, the almajiri boys in Kano were sent to set ablaze the big Sabon Gari Market in Kano where Biafrans are known to trade. The chanting of  ALLAHU AKBAR by the Hausa Fulani men as the Market is being razed down is a clear message that the burning of the market was all intentional and planned to destroy all Biafran interest across the Nigeria state. But as these ill fates are befalling Biafrans, what is the government doing? Nigeria government never paid any attention to the plights of these marketers who lost millions of dollars in these horrendous incidents and all their capitals forfeited.

Biafrans what is the way forward? It is clear to all now that Biafrans are no longer wanted in this contraption called Nigeria. SABONGARI MARKET FIRE OUT BREAK: AN EYE OPENER FOR BIAFRANS IN THE NORTH.

BIAFRANS SALVAGING WHAT IS LEFT OF THEIR GOODS

Sabongari is an Hausa language which means “strangers area”. The sabongari market in Kano State is a market where Biafrans do their buying and selling, despite all warnings to relocate back to Biafra land where they are sure of security of their lives and properties. For three days now, this very market has been on fire, and from every indication the fire outbreak is not accidental.

 Sabongari was intentionally set ablazed by the Hausa-Fulani people, in fulfilment of their promise to cripple our people's businesses as exposed in an audio recording  between one Hausa politician simply identified as Alhaji, that got leaked to the public.
 The 20:38-minute audio recording, appeared to have been made by a member of one of the political parties or an eavesdropper. The Northern politician, revealed the sinister plot of the Northern politicians to attack the business interests of the people from the South East and South South region of the country.

Investigations led to the source of the audio, who does not wish to be named. It was authenticated that the recording was a real telephone conversation that happened just after the inauguration of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, 2015.
Alhaji took time to reveal the plot of the Northern elites to frustrate people from the South East and South South of Nigeria and revealed that there is a Satanic alliance with some elements of the South West to also join in frustrating the South Easterners and denying them their rights under the constitution to live anywhere they wish and do business anywhere in Nigeria.

Biafrans in sabongari market reported that as the market was going up in flames, the Hausa/Fulani people where shouting Allahu Akbar, which means “Allah is great”.  They were praising their God for successfully burning down the market where Biafrans were earning their living. Is this is not barbaric?.

In Lagos State, Yaba market, Ladipo market, Oshodi market were demolished without prior notice to the traders. Ikosi area of Ketu market was burnt down as well. In Abuja, Gwagwalada market was demolished, and now Sabongari market has been razed down too. These are markets where Biafrans do their trading. But like the name of the market implies, they are considered strangers and not welcome to do business.

Do not be surprised if you hear or read a news of another market fire outbreak in the northern Nigeria, or demolition in Lagos State, because these people are determined to render Biafrans useless. It is imperative that Biafrans in the north know that this is a final warning as they may not only take away their businesses alone, but also their precious lives.
It is time to go back to Biafra land and establish your businesses at home where you are safe.

When a person is not welcomed in a place, he or she does not need to be told to vacate such location and go back home. If Biafrans in the northern Nigeria fail to heed to this call to go back home, i'm aftaid many of them may not make it out of the Mohammedan emirate of the North alive. It has been established that their next plan is to carry out a jihad on all Biafrans and non-Muslims. Our leader Nnamdi Kanu sang it like a song but most people called him a joker and 'hate' preacher, but like a prophet, it is all happening before the eyes of all.

It is obvious that Biafrans are not wanted in Nigeria. From time immemorial, Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba oligarchy has exhibited the height of hatred towards Biafrans in so many ways. The only thing these religious bigots and scavengers are concerned about is our oil. This is the irony of one Nigeria, our lives worth nothing to them. All they seek is to wipe us out from the surface of the earth and take over our rich land. These gullible creatures known as the Hausa/Fulani and their Yoruba co-conspirators are good at burning down our markets, churches, properties, killing us at will in their states, and still killing us in Biafra land with impunity using their islamic soldiers in form of the Nigerian army and the Fulani herdsmen.

This barbaric act constantly displayed by the so called "One Nigerianist" has gone beyond escalation, while the Nigerian government prefer sit on the fence. We are expectant that the EU, UN, US, men and women of goodwill who has value for human life and the international community will support and call for Biafra referendum so as to dampen the already tensed society. We are patient now, but it is also imperative that they know that our patience will soon elapse. We have the right to live and exist as a people, and nobody should think of subjugating us any further because we are Biafrans, we never say die!

Nnamdi Kanu Vs Dss: Persecution Or Prosecution

The Nnamdi Kanu Saga has received national and international media coverage in the past few months. Only two weeks ago hundreds of ‘Biafrans’ and supporters of the Biafran cause staged peaceful protests in front of the Vatican, headquarters of the Catholic Church in the world. There had been similar protests by the Biafran supporters in some European capitals. It is therefore timely now to address pertinent issues on the matter.

Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, Ifeanyi Ejiofor in a recent press briefing in Abuja, circulated in the social media and published in some national dailies called attention to very serious issues in the trial of Nnamdi Kanu. Mr. Kanu was arraigned before a Wuse, Abuja Chief Magistrate Court on 19th October, 2015 for criminal conspiracy, managing and belonging to an unlawful society and criminal intimidation contrary to Sections 97, 97B and 397 of the Penal Code. The trial magistrate Hon. Shuabi granted him bail on the same day on conditions that were promptly satisfied but the Directorate of State Services refused to release him.

During the pendency of this charge already adjourned to 19th November, 2015 for hearing, the DSS rushed to the Federal High Court and applied to secure an exparte order to further detain Nnamdi Kanu for another 90 days, in total disregard of the positive order by the Chief Magistrate Court for his release.Immediately the defense counsel became aware of the perverse order an application was promptly brought before the Federal High Court, the very court that granted the order, to vacate it. In its well considered ruling the judge vacated the exparte order and further directed the D.S.S to release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally. The order was again flouted.

In a deliberate effort to legitimize the further detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the office of the Attorney General of the Federation filed a six count charge against him and 2 other defendants including this time treasonable felony and belonging to and managing an unlawful social (IPOB). Barrister Ejiofor explained that Nnamdi Kanu was never caught or arrested with any fire arm, weapon or ammunition of any form. Radio Biafra as well as Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are duly registered under the regulatory laws of the United Kingdom, the United Nation and several countries across the globe. He attached the said registrations Certificates in proof of his claim. For instance, the registration documents of both IPOB and Radio Biafra made available to the press by Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer (Bar Ifeanyi Ejiofor) revealed that IPOB is registered in over 30 countries across the globe with its headquarters situated at united kingdom.

Certificate of registration issued by the registrar of companies for England and Wales, certified that Indigenous People Of Biafra is registered with Certificate Registration number 9141882, in the United Kingdom, Given at the companies House Cardiff on the 22nd July 2014. Registration certificate of Radio Biafra issued by the registrar of companies for England and Wales, also certified that Radio Biafra is registered with Certificate Registration Number: 8635030, in the United Kingdom, Given at the Companies House Cardiff on the 2nd August 2013. It is now undisputable in the light of the above revelations that both IPOB and Radio Biafra are duly registered under the law contrary to the speculations making rounds.

The two den guns listed among the exhibits in course of DSS investigation at the residence of Benjamin Madubugwu are said to be den guns for animal hunting which are fully licensed. Are den guns used for levying war against a country as big and as sophisticated in arms and weaponry as Nigeria?One recalls that on 29th December 2015, during a Presidential media chat President Muhammedu Buhari informed the whole world that Nnamdi Kanu cannot be granted bail, as he came into the country without a valid travelling passport. Regrettably and very unfortunately, Nnamdi Kanu and other defendants were on 29th January, 2016 refused bail for being in possession of dual passports as a flight risk. This court decision which came on the same day as the Presidential Media Chat gives an indication of where the direction may be coming from, akin to the witch crying in the night and the baby dying in the morning. However the truth remains that Nnamdi Kanu has two valid passports, British and Nigerian which have since been seized by the D.S.S Operatives.

A formal application to secure the release of the passports was made in the open court by Nnamdi Kanu’s defence team on February 9th 2016 but the trial judge refused to grant the application. When did dual citizenship constitute an offence in Nigeria? Dual citizenship is a constitutional right provided under Section 28 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) as amended and is therefore not a crime under our laws except if such was not obtained in the manner prescribed under our laws.It is interesting to note further that upon the denial of Nnamdi Kanu’s bail on 29th January, 2016, the court directed for accelerated hearing on the matter on 19th, 10th, 11th, and 12th February, 2016. Surprisingly on 9th February at the commencement of trial the Prosecution served an application to conduct the trial in camera (for witnesses to wear facial masks and testify behind screens). The court in its considered wisdom refused to grant this relief.

Curiously when the case was called on 7th March 2016 the prosecution came up with an oral application that the court should VARY its earlier ruling made on 19th February, 2016 against witnesses testifying in camera, to enable witnesses be shielded behind screen while giving evidence. Very inexplicably, the court sat on appeal over its own judgment and granted the application and consequently ordered that the prosecution witnesses be allowed to testify in camera, i.e behind screen, wearing masks, etc. Masquerades will now be prosecution witness against Nnamdi Kanu and his co-defendants. This is a novelty in the Nigerian judiciary and we watch how it plays out. Nnamdi Kanu’s defence team has since appealed this court ruling to the Court of Appeal.

They have complained of deliberate and consistent denial of access to crucial documents and materials that will enable them offer their best services to their clients, an action that impedes Nnamdi Kanu’s fundamental rights to fair trial and fair hearing.The allegation made by Nnamdi Kanu that the DSS threatened to kill him if he fails to denounce his Biafran preposition is a very serious one that should not be swept under the carpet. The elimination of one who has now been seen as the Peoples’ hero may cause serious societal upheaval with dire consequencies for the peace, unity and security of the nation.The Judiciary is generally seen as the last hope of the common man. That is why its logo is a woman with two arms outstretched to dispense equitable justice. When fundamental rights, enshrined internationally are denied and arbiters in the temple of justice give and change judgments at will against accused people before them, questions are bound to be raised if it is really justice or injustice that is being dispensed.

The prosecution in a criminal charge is expected to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt, adducing evidences there are creditable and verifiable. Anything short of this becomes persecution which in a Democracy such as ours is an anathema. Nnamdi Kanu and his co-defendants should be given a trial that is not only fair but should be manifestly seen to be so. They should not be persecuted.–– Okeke is a political analyst based in Abuja.
